Jamboree Preview:
The Iron Range Conference will showcase all six teams in a short jamboree in Virginia. Greenway will take on Eveleth-Gilbert at 6:00 p.m., Hibbing will take on International Falls at 7:00 p.m., and host Virginia/MIB will take on Grand Rapids at 8:00 p.m. All scrimmages will consist of two 13-minute, stop time periods. This is a great opportunity for the IRC teams to get a last look at some of their talent before they make opening day roster decisions.

The Grand Rapids Thunderhawks won their IRC Jamboree matchup with the Virginia Blue Devils, 2-0. Tony Palkki (Sr.) led the way, scoring both goals for the Thunderhawks. Sam Rendle (Sr.) assisted both goals. Kyle Kleinendorst (Jr.) and Patrick Moore (So.) added assists for Grand Rapids in the win. A.J. Underwood (Sr.) and Ryan Larson (Jr.) combined for an 11 save shutout. Underwood stopped 7 shots and Larson kicked out 4. Grand Rapids scored on power play goal in the game. Greenway took down Eveleth, 4-0, in the first exhibition game of the night. Hibbing nipped International Falls, 2-1, in game number two of the night. Grand Rapids is back in action Friday afternoon at 1:00 p.m. for an exhibition game with Benilde-St. Margaret's at the IRA Civic Center in Grand Rapids.
