Grand Rapids Hockey Offseason News
-Sam Rendle, Tony Palkki, and John Skrbec have been named captains for the
2008-2009 season.
-J.R. Mackey has been awarded the 2007-2008 Grand Rapids Hobey Baker Award.
-Corey Kosak was named Player's Choice team MVP for the 2007-2008 season.
-Sam Sparen was named Player's Choice team Most Determined Player for the
2007-2008 season.
-Pat Rendle has been named Grand Rapids High School Athletic Director as Wayne
Pender is set to resign at the end of the school year.

CCM All-Star Game
2/14/2007
Grand Rapids will send four players to this years CCM All-Star Game.
Defensemen Sam Rendle and Corey Kosak will join forwards Robb Roy and Sam Sparen
to play for team Iron Range as they battle team team Duluth. Team games will be
played March 11th and 12th in Eveleth and Duluth. The first game, on March 11th
will be played at the Hippodrome in Eveleth. Game two will be March 12th at the
DECC in Duluth. The two teams will also play in a skills competition prior to
the game one. Before game two, there will be an alumni game. For more on the CCM
